Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was formally recognized as a psychiatric disorder in 1980.  At that time, little was known about PTSD in children.  In this day, we know that children are susceptible to developing PTSD and we also know that the symptoms are age-specific.

This site will explain how children that are physically abused can lead to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  It will also explain the symptoms of PTSD, as well, as treatments.
